Dear Diary... 🕮📚✎🖉

Image
At some point in our lives, we all have kept a diary - penning our deepest thoughts and secrets. A move that aids many to pour out their hearts and feel like they can turn to something to relive the sorrow or tension they may encounter. As a matter of fact, certain diary entries have even become part of history, including the infamous Diary of Anne Frank - a girl from Germany, informing the world of her trials & tribulations during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. These written entries - a collection of people's thoughts could be enlightening, amusing and fun to know or read. Hence Diana like several others has penned her most impactful and memorable moments throughout the years, wanting to inspire, encourage, motivate or enlighten the world, especially those classified as being 'unique'. Thus, without further ado 'UniqueJournalist' presents a selective few:           Dear Diary,       ...

Wembley Stadium - UEFA EURO 2020 ⚽

Image
The year is 2019, almost a year since I graduated from University. As usual, I was trying to find an exciting, fun and, relevant job - ideally a paid position. In the meantime, I was working with Legends Report - an inspirational online Magazine mainly based on inspirational legends. I had been with them for a while, and as it was an unpaid role, I kept seeking a paid one in the process. That's when I came across a job that would boost my confidence even further, transform my perception of myself, the daily challenges and the slight fears which I've had about the employment industry or life overall. This job somehow gave me the reassurance I was searching for after graduation. It expanded my network, and I got to meet pleasant individuals, beginning with the management team to the interviewer scouts - all was an absolute delight. They made me feel welcomed and involved. Initially, though, I was slightly hesitant in conducting the role, but after a few discussions with the ...

The Only Place...Afghanistan

Image
The only place I would remember is Afghanistan.  A place which is full of dust and heat. A place where blood and tears have streamed down more than rain, for over 30 years. A place where innocent & harmless people have been hurt, wounded and killed because of the long the tragic war and ongoing violence. Lives have shattered. Dreams left unfulfilled and, people forced to beg for food in the dirty rough ground. The women turning widow, children losing a father & mother losing her son. 💔😔🇦🇫 What do you want to do ? A Life in the Day - Fashion designer & Support assistant, Sheree Robinson

Image
A Life in the Day: the Fashion designer and S upport assistant Sheree Robinson juggles between two careers and is succeeding really well.  During the week, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays my day starts with supporting students in London College of Communication. I support them with their physical needs: carrying their equipment or books. I also sit with students to help them plan or structure their time so that they are organized and are not falling behind in their studies as well as writing notes for those who are entitled. I am also a fashion designer, therefore, the other two days, Wednesdays and Fridays I may go to Central Saint Martins, a  public tertiary art school, to teach students how to knit and give them guidance. Some of the time I also go to Central Saint Martins for knitwork. In the evenings I spend my time mainly on my own knitting career: most of the time I do knitting parties, in bars and clubs located on the east and west side of London. It inv...

Tygon Cafe - The Coffee Spilt Incident!

Image
A few stairs down from the workshop area there are sounds of chatter and laughter, consistent tapping of kitchen objects and the smell of rich coffee that has risen from the coffee machine, filling up the atmosphere with its strong fragrance. It's lunch hour at the Tygon café. Students tip-tapping and making their way to the long queue, eager to have a snack or a drink. One by one they wait patiently, distracting themselves with their smartphones or by interacting with their friends as the queue barely reduces and moves along. Making one in particular individual very intolerant and frustrated. “Right, that’s it. I can’t take this any longer!” This particular individual is a student. Stood with their back fairly bend with a tired and fed up expression drawn on their face. Moving out of the queue and making their way towards the counter. But as the student almost reaches the counter they are oblivious of the person, wearing a grey hoodie, walking in their direction which re...

Induction Week - 2015

Image
Monday 5th October 2015 -  the start of my induction week at University, the beginning of my life as a UAL student. I was excited, very excited. However, like any other student, I was naturally a tiny bit nervous too as it was a new system and environment but more significantly because of how people will react to me or what will they think of me as I tend to stand out as a unique individual. I wonder if they were anxious about approaching me or just unsure of how to be around someone like me. Anyhow, I shall take a deep breath, stay strong and prepare myself for anything that is to come. On a positive note, a brand new journey awaits with luxurious cars, fine assistance and many more. Haha...:D What do you want to do ? New mail Copy What do you want to do ? New mail Copy
