This World (Dunya) is Nothing But A Beautiful Lie...💔💔📿

Image
A few months before the new year commenced - 2024, the biggest tragedy of my life took place - an unexpected and sudden tragedy - my father's demise. It was  29th November 2023  when my father breathed his last. A healthy and very able individual unexpectedly just slipped away.  Since then, my outlook on life changed and so did my life. The value of this 'dunya' (world) lessened, and I began to appreciate things that have an everlasting impact (doing good & giving back in any way possible) instead of this 'dunya' gibberish. His death was a  huge  shock & still is ... Since that moment, 4 months have passed and during the month of  March 2024 (the month of Ramadan), another occurrence deeply touched me. The short yet inspiring story of a young brother known as 'Omar  Algaf' . He passed away at the young age of 22 due to a car crash incident. The story of his demise went viral on TikTok (how I found out) and a close family member attended ...

Goodbye 2020 ~ A Bizarre, Ambigous & Saddening Year!

Image
At the beginning of 2020, I was optimistic for it to be a happy, exciting and productive year. Instead, it began with slight sadness & tension but nothing too significant or life-changing. Yet again, it may have been a warning to what was to come & have a life-changing impact on everyone around the world. The first few months went exceptionally well for me - from January until mid-March: got a job at an office environment - journalism-related and attended numerous outings. 😁💪 But from then on life, started to take a turn for the worst & went downhill. It was an unexpected turn of events - very baffling for many, including myself. All this was due to a horrible & life-threatening virus knowns as Corona or Covid - 19.   Suddenly restrictions came in place in the UK and, everyone was anxious and concerned at the sudden & worrying situation. I was very annoyed that I could not do the things I would do daily, including going to the gym - an activity I'm very much f...

2020's Message to the World: 'Life is Unpredictable & Way Too Short!'

Image
I can't believe it's already 2020 and has started off containing tension, sadness as well as a shock - mainly involving death and unimaginable tragedy - nothing on a personal standard. Nonetheless, it still grasped my attention and evoked a mix of emotions, depending on the situation. Two occurrences were more on a global standard - captivating the world & one not so global. Though, all within the same month! 😕 Two out of the three startled and saddened me, particularly the latest one - giving me the reminder that life is way too short and being civil/friendly with a warm smile is the best approach in life. The most recent demises were of an established sports personality and his 13-year-old daughter. The basketball legend was an icon to many but, most importantly, a loving husband and a doting father. The iconic sports legend & his late daughter died in a helicopter crash - with no survivors as seven other poor souls also lost their lives and the vehicle completely...

A Young Student got Viciously Attacked...then Stabbed to Death!!!

Image
A Young Student got Viciously Attacked...then Stabbed to Death!!! On Friday morning, a teenager got mugged, near Wembley Park. His name was Yousuf, and he was 16 years old. He was walking to school while being fully occupied with his phone and all of a sudden, a strange-looking guy appeared out of nowhere, from behind. The stranger was dressed in a hoodie, blue - ripped up jeans and white trainers. He was demanding Yousuf's phone and wallet.  Yousuf froze out of fear. He was shocked and terrified - not knowing what to do. Out of fear, the 16-year-old reluctantly passed over his phone and wallet then attempted to escape the unknown stranger but unfortunately got stabbed by the violently, leaving him to bleed. Yousuf was known as a confident, friendly individual with an outgoing characteristic. The lad was studious, but he also enjoyed socialising with pals and having fun. At a tender age, he had a great interest in becoming a future successful business perso...

The Only Place...Afghanistan

Image
The only place I would remember is Afghanistan.  A place which is full of dust and heat. A place where blood and tears have streamed down more than rain, for over 30 years. A place where innocent & harmless people have been hurt, wounded and killed because of the long the tragic war and ongoing violence. Lives have shattered. Dreams left unfulfilled and, people forced to beg for food in the dirty rough ground. The women turning widow, children losing a father & mother losing her son. 💔😔🇦🇫 What do you want to do ? Tygon Cafe - The Coffee Spilt Incident!

Image
A few stairs down from the workshop area there are sounds of chatter and laughter, consistent tapping of kitchen objects and the smell of rich coffee that has risen from the coffee machine, filling up the atmosphere with its strong fragrance. It's lunch hour at the Tygon café. Students tip-tapping and making their way to the long queue, eager to have a snack or a drink. One by one they wait patiently, distracting themselves with their smartphones or by interacting with their friends as the queue barely reduces and moves along. Making one in particular individual very intolerant and frustrated. “Right, that’s it. I can’t take this any longer!” This particular individual is a student. Stood with their back fairly bend with a tired and fed up expression drawn on their face. Moving out of the queue and making their way towards the counter. But as the student almost reaches the counter they are oblivious of the person, wearing a grey hoodie, walking in their direction which re...
