2020's Message to the World: 'Life is Unpredictable & Way Too Short!'

I can't believe it's already 2020 and has started off containing tension, sadness as well as a shock - mainly involving death and unimaginable tragedy - nothing on a personal standard. Nonetheless, it still grasped my attention and evoked a mix of emotions, depending on the situation. Two occurrences were more on a global standard - captivating the world & one not so global. Though, all within the same month! 😕

Two out of the three startled and saddened me, particularly the latest one - giving me the reminder that life is way too short and being civil/friendly with a warm smile is the best approach in life. The most recent demises were of an established sports personality and his 13-year-old daughter. The basketball legend was an icon to many but, most importantly, a loving husband and a doting father. The iconic sports legend & his late daughter died in a helicopter crash - with no survivors as seven other poor souls also lost their lives and the vehicle completely wrecked.

The devastating aspect of this incident was that it happened in such a sudden and tragic form. Utterly unbelievable. In regards to the sporting legend's passing, in particular, was that he & his daughter died together at the same time. His 13-year-old daughter, an ambitious & gifted individual. The daughter who had an immense passion for basketball like her late father and who seemed to have a promising future in it as well. Forget the glitz & glamour, this involves two beings - one being extremely young, full of life and dreams - just a kid.

Until the tragedy, I never really knew the late basketball player, yet it gave me the acknowledgement that no one is immune to death - rich or poor/famous or not. Sadly, one goes & no one can do a thing! Not a single thing. So I hope that everyone appreciates each other's worth aka value before it's too late. Like I've said:

"When someone is alive we don't appreciate their presence, and when they pass away we begin to realize and have a vast amount of remorse for their demise, and value how good of a being they were - which at that point is useless." Diana

Additionally, depending on the circumstances, but regardless of who it involves and particularly in such tragic cases, I do get quite saddened and feel for their loved ones. Typically, I would want to reach out to their families/loved ones, letting them know our thoughts & prayers are with them etc.

Anyhow, I pray and wish from the bottom of my heart that everyone is blissful and well with their loved ones - whoever they are. For those grieving the loss of their loved ones, particularly in 2020, 'Thoughts & Prayers to them.’🙏 🙏
