Goodbye 2020 ~ A Bizarre, Ambigous & Saddening Year!

Image
At the beginning of 2020, I was optimistic for it to be a happy, exciting and productive year. Instead, it began with slight sadness & tension but nothing too significant or life-changing. Yet again, it may have been a warning to what was to come & have a life-changing impact on everyone around the world. The first few months went exceptionally well for me - from January until mid-March: got a job at an office environment - journalism-related and attended numerous outings. 😁💪 But from then on life, started to take a turn for the worst & went downhill. It was an unexpected turn of events - very baffling for many, including myself. All this was due to a horrible & life-threatening virus knowns as Corona or Covid - 19.   Suddenly restrictions came in place in the UK and, everyone was anxious and concerned at the sudden & worrying situation. I was very annoyed that I could not do the things I would do daily, including going to the gym - an activity I'm very much f...

Covid 19: A Period of Uncertainty & Isolation - March 2020 - July 2020

Image
It's one thing hearing about critical times and another having to live it. We have all heard stories about periods or countries having experienced numerous discomfort or danger. Though Diana never thought in her wildest dreams, it would become her reality too - especially in an advanced country such as the UK, London. Freedom and free will, something we value dearly and don't usually give much thought to as it is automatically given what with being in advanced countries, had become quite limited due to a hazardous virus called COVID 19. A virus that has possibly originated from China and caused too much disturbance around the globe. Towards the end of March 2020 was when Diana's lifestyle began to change drastically due to covid restrictions - the daily activities she would do and the freedom she had was no longer accessible.  Due to the new rules put in place by the government and family concerns, Diana had to stay indoors more than usual - not go out to the gym, meet up w...

The Struggles of a Graduate...

Image
Three years of hardcore concentration, tears, and constant hard work to obtain a BA degree and become a qualified journalist, a profession Diana longed for since acknowledging the value of education and realizing her potentials. She put a lot of effort into ensuring she succeeds and eventually graduates with a good grade. Diana is optimistic and has a positive approach towards nearly everything she does, including obtaining a degree and finding a job within her field of study. At the same time, she was still aware that accomplishing such a desire would not be that straightforward. Nonetheless, she never imagined it would be too draining and almost impossible either. It has become widely known that graduating with a degree does not guarantee a job relevant to the field of study. People like Diana feel the pressure of this even more as she not only has to fight her way through the employment industry, she has to deal with being 'unique' and persuade the hiring companies that s...

Being the First Lady of The United States of America is quite something - having the world at your feet and getting the best of everything, enjoying the VIP treatment and lifestyle, mingling with dignitaries all over the world in an atmosphere of complete comfort and luxury. This is a life many would crave yet few experience. However, this is something which former First Lady, Michelle Obama is relieved to have left behind after her and Barack Obama left the White House in 2017. She is now concentrating on pursuing her goals and making a difference beyond the often restrictive White House walls. The Only Place...Afghanistan

Image
The only place I would remember is Afghanistan.  A place which is full of dust and heat. A place where blood and tears have streamed down more than rain, for over 30 years. A place where innocent & harmless people have been hurt, wounded and killed because of the long the tragic war and ongoing violence. Lives have shattered. Dreams left unfulfilled and, people forced to beg for food in the dirty rough ground. The women turning widow, children losing a father & mother losing her son. 💔😔🇦🇫 What do you want to do ? Migration Crisis - The illegal journey of a migrant towards Europe

Image
She is sitting high up on a gentle comfy bed with casual yet stylish clothes surrounded by books, a table and computer with a relaxed posture and a smiley expression drawn on her face. It’s a total contrast from just a year ago when she was tolerating starvation, thirst and, the cold. Aisha Sharifi, afghan, was one of one million illegal migrants who came to Europe in 2015 to seek safety. The migration crisis became one of the top stories since 2015. “I regretted it so much because I saw the risk of death every situation”, she said, concerning the daunting experience. Aisha left her beloved Afghanistan, as she was receiving threats and travelled to Pakistan, feeling anxious as it was travelling illegally. Once Aisha entered Iran her and her family got divided up into two cars and only Aisha’s car got stopped by the Iranian police. Her heart was beating rapidly. “When the Iranian police caught us I cried because they were permitted to shoot us", she recalled, calmly. She was...

The Survival in University

Image
The extreme pressures that the school youth face in Britain. It was the final year of high school for Jenny, and nothing seemed pleasant for her. She had nothing going for her in life. The school life was a constant walking nightmare. She had nothing to look forward to, no hobbies whatsoever.  Nothing. She just had emptiness taking over her life and the daunting moments of school. The torment, fright and trauma that just kept brewing and brewing. Soon enough, in a flash of a moment, the only comfort seemed to have been was the thought of an extensive amount of pills and being set free from all the anguish and agony. It has recently been reported that an eight-year-old from Jacksonville is in the process of trying to help fight issues like bullying by writing a book which is planned to get released sometime in the summer. Ultimately, Jenny did it. She finally acted upon her suicidal thoughts. In a spur of a moment, after hurrying towards her room feeling besides herself, ext...
