Induction Week - 2015

Monday 5th October 2015 - the start of my induction week at University, the beginning of my life as a UAL student. I was excited, very excited. However, like any other student, I was naturally a tiny bit nervous too as it was a new system and environment but more significantly because of how people will react to me or what will they think of me as I tend to stand out as a unique individual. I wonder if they were anxious about approaching me or just unsure of how to be around someone like me. Anyhow, I shall take a deep breath, stay strong and prepare myself for anything that is to come.

On a positive note, a brand new journey awaits with luxurious cars, fine assistance and many more. Haha...:D

  A few months before the new year commenced - 2024, the biggest tragedy of my life took place. An unexpected and sudden tragedy - my father's demise. The Taliban Government in a New Era But the Same Old Mindset!

'Taliban' - whenever this particular term is mentioned, bitter memories are evoked for many, recalling the 1996 - 2001 regime in Afghanistan. Those who have lived through that period believe it to be a dark phase in their life, where there was no sense of freedom, peace of mind & happiness, especially concerning the women. Fast forward to 20 years later, and things seem to have only gotten worse for them.  After the sudden and unexpected collapse of the presidential government led by Ashraf Ghani, the former president of the country, the Taliban once again came into power, and everyone from around the world watched in disbelief and shock, including me.  Despite being brought up in the west, I still feel strongly connected to Afghanistan, so the drastic change of events troubled me. I've made discoveries & researched on a variety of matters, particularly on people for some time now. To be precise, it began in 2009 with Micheal Jackson.  I get intrigued or fascinated about someone or something then I start investigating or researching in great depth. Anyhow, no one has up until now fascinated or surprised me more than a well-known and highly admired rapper aka actor.  Unfortunately, he is no longer with us, yet he is still very much relevant and current even to this day! How Street Art has Affected an Area

For the sake of creativity and for people to express themselves, the public or government has permitted graffiti aka street art to take place openly and legally under the long tunnel of Leake Street, located in Waterloo. To allow graffiti or art lovers to be creative as well as make the tunnel a colourful place to pass by. It is a gift for those who would usually graffiti in unauthorised areas and get in trouble for it as the law considers it vandalism and forbids the public to do graffiti wherever they please. Thus, these types of places would be quite popular and a privilege to go to. Lilli Levi - who works near the area says: "...this authorized feature tunnel around certain areas of east London is particularly popular.” However, Laura Fitzpatrick, a tourist from Canada, believes that there should be a punishment in the form of a penalty when an individual graffiti something harsh.
